Sheila Sri Prakash, a leading architect in India, received the WADE ASIA Lifetime Achievement Award. This is the highest WADE Award, given to a woman who has made significant contributions to architecture, design, art, and social services. Sheila Sri Prakash is the 6th woman to receive this award.

Sheila Sri Prakash is a trailblazer in the field of architecture and urban design. She founded Shilpa Architects in 1979, becoming the first woman architect in India to start her own architectural practice.

She has designed over 1200 projects, including low-cost houses for the poor, energy-efficient commercial buildings, custom bungalows, residential communities, integrated townships, industrial facilities, art museums, sports stadiums, educational centers, public infrastructure, and luxury hotels. She is a founding member of the Indian Green Building Council and her impact on the industry is immense.
