Colors play a crucial role in architecture and interior design as they can create a mood, convey a message, and enhance the overall aesthetics of a space. They can be used to create contrast, highlight specific features, and add depth to a design.

The use of color can also help in creating a specific ambiance or atmosphere, or to create an energetic and vibrant environment. Additionally, the use of color can influence human behavior and well-being, making it an essential aspect of design.

Therefore, the Best Use Of Color in architecture/interior design recognizes the importance of colors in design and rewards innovative and creative use of color in projects.

To be eligible for this award category, please follow the below guidelines:

• Applicants must submit one completed project. Project that you submit for the competition can be max 6 years old (2020 onward).
• Use only a single file of A2 size in Vertical Layout (16.5 width x 23.4 height in Inches), 300 DPI resolution, PDF format, clear at 100% viewing. Entry file size can be maximum 6 MB.
• A brief information with a suitable project title, date of project completion and project category properly mentioned on top must be included in the Entry file. Use original photos and not 3D images. Refer to the sample project provided at the end of the page for clear understanding
• Applicants must mention why they think their project deserves “BEST USE OF COLOR” Award with proper explanation what was the motive of using the color, how the client has benefited, etc. Keep it brief and precise. Supporting images should be placed on the same A2 file with Image captions and drawings.
• Do Not mention your name, firm name, logo, or any details in the Entry File which hints about you. Such entries will be disqualified on the spot. After you have successfully submitted your Entry, you will receive a USER ID in your email. Kindly save the USER ID for future correspondence.
• By submitting the projects for the competition, you declare that this is your original work or you have made the maximum contribution to accomplish the project.
• Do Not mention your name, firm name, logo, or any details in the Entry File which hints about you. Such entries will be disqualified on the spot. After you have successfully submitted your Entry, you will receive a USER ID in your email. Kindly save the USER ID for future correspondence.
• By submitting the project for the competition, you declare that this is your original work or you have made the maximum contribution to accomplish the project.
• Project that have already won a WADE award should not be submitted again for the competition.
• There is no age limit.
• Attach Declaration – If you are an employee and have completed the project for the firm/ company you are working for, a Declaration letter must be attached sharing their acceptance of your entry as well as their confirmation of your Specific contribution to the project. The file size of Declaration letter can be maximum 2 MB and in PDF format only. Declaration Letter Format given below.

Note: The Survey Form is mandatory and needs to be filled only Once. When applying for multiple categories, you may select the check box that you have already done the Survey.
